Every year UNICEF Sweden's World Parent program (Världsförälder) broadcasts their gala live on tv. And every year they create a new logotype for the night-long event.
Instead of creating another logotype to add to the collection of retired ones, a symbol was created for the first time to represent the gala. The symbol is inspired by the UNICEF logo—a modern interpretation of parent-and-child. Silver pins were produced which sold out online and in shops nationwide in a matter of days. Films were also produced to promote the silver pin. The program quickly reached record donations. The following year UNICEF didn't ask for a new logotype for the gala, and instead re-launched the symbol and silver pin along with a new line of necklaces and armbands.
